Terms of use
The ground rules.
By using xyzcompass.com, joining the waitlist, downloading The Love Blueprint or using the XYZ² app, you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose. The parts that matter most are sections 3 and 4: XYZ describes how your answers fit; it doesn't tell you what to do with your relationship, and it isn't therapy.
1. Who we are
XYZ² ("XYZ", "we", "us") is operated by XYZ Compass Inc., [registered address]. Contact: hello@xyzcompass.com.
2. The waitlist and the free guide
- Joining the waitlist is free and does not start a subscription or any payment.
- When you join, we send you The Love Blueprint (a PDF guide) and we'll email you when your access wave opens. Access is granted in waves, in signup order, as capacity allows. We don't guarantee a particular opening date.
- First wave: the first 1,000 signups receive first-wave access. When paid plans arrive, first-wave members will be offered the lowest price we offer at that time. This is a price advantage, not a lifetime price lock; the amount and plan details will be announced before paid access begins.
- Free initial access: everyone who gets access to the initial release can use the features available in that release without paying, at least until the next major version ("v2") arrives with more features. We'll announce pricing before anything becomes paid, and nothing you use for free will be charged retroactively.
- You must be 18 or older to join.
3. What XYZ is, and isn't
XYZ asks you questions about your life, needs and relationship, and turns your answers into a profile, compatibility readings (when two people have both answered) and a growth plan. Scores are calculated from your answers using defined rules; an AI assistant helps explain results and suggest next steps.
- It's a description, not a prediction. A compatibility score describes how two sets of answers fit today. It does not predict whether a relationship will last, and the overall system has not been validated as a predictor of relationship outcomes. Some scoring methods draw on published research; others are founder-defined and labelled that way in the app.
- It doesn't decide for you. XYZ will never tell you to stay in or leave a relationship. Decisions about your relationship are yours.
- It isn't therapy or medical care. XYZ provides assessments, growth activities and AI-supported guidance. It does not provide therapy, counselling, medical or mental-health treatment, and it isn't a substitute for them. If you're in distress or at risk, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
- The AI coach can be wrong. Treat its suggestions as prompts for your own judgement, not instructions.
4. Your account and your answers
- Keep your login details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Answer for yourself. Don't create a profile for someone else or answer on their behalf, and don't try to see another person's individual answers. Your partner's answers are theirs; yours are yours.
- Don't use XYZ to harass, stalk, deceive or harm anyone, and don't upload anything unlawful.
- You can delete your account at any time. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.
5. The Love Blueprint and other content
The Love Blueprint, the XYZ framework (the six dimensions, the 42 topics, the relationship stages), the app, its text, designs and code belong to us or our licensors. You may read, download and print The Love Blueprint for your own personal use. You may not sell it, republish it, or present it as your own. Short quotations with attribution are fine.
6. Availability and changes
XYZ is a new product. Features will change, some will arrive later than planned, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service. If we stop the service entirely while you're a paying customer, we'll refund any unused prepaid period.
7. Paid plans (when they arrive)
Prices, billing periods and cancellation terms will be shown before you pay and will form part of these terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Where consumer law gives you a right to cancel or a refund, that right isn't affected by anything here.
8. Liability
We provide the site, the guide and the app "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make about your relationships, finances or health based on XYZ. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that can't be limited by law. Where liability can be limited, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or €100 if you paid nothing).
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. If we have a dispute, write to us first and we'll try to sort it out within 30 days. If that fails, the state and federal courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction, except that you may always bring a claim in the courts of your own country if consumer law gives you that right.
10. Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top when these terms change. For changes that affect you materially, we'll email you before they take effect. Continuing to use XYZ after that means you accept the new terms.
